By obits

Susan Pascarella Zazac, 90, formerly of Monessen, died Sunday, May 3, 2020, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born on Nov. 9, 1929, in Monessen, the daughter of the late Venturo and Antoinette Suppa Pascarella. Mrs. Zazac was a member of the former St. Leonard’s Roman Catholic Church, Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg and Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin prior to moving to St. Anne Home. She was known as a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her love of family and her strong faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Susan was creative in her cooking and in her love of music and art. She gave meaning and beauty to life through events both large and small. One of her many joys in life was having friends and family visit and being a loving hostess. She always put family first, devoting herself to create the best life for them. She also seemed to always have tasty treats for her family pet dogs, Sam, Scooter and Jessup, whom she loved deeply. Her devout faith in God and love for the Blessed Mother were vital in her daily living. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert A. Zazac Sr.; two grandchildren, Nicole Marie Sedunov and Jasen S. Sedunov; and by four brothers, James, Ralph, John and Mike Pascarella. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha E. (Steven) Sedunov of Youngwood; son, Robert A. Zazac, Jr. of Irwin; three grandchildren, Joshua S. Sedunov, Robert A. Zazac III and Mia M. Zazac; former daughter-in-law, Gina (Trasoline) Zazac of Irwin; sister, Philomena Pandrock of New Eagle; sister-in-law, Minnie Pascarella of Monessen; and by nieces and nephews. Due to the pandemic, a private family visitation and funeral Mass was held with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Arrangements entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
