Exler gearing up for shot with Titans

Like many of his Serra Catholic teammates, Logan Exler was eagerly anticipating the start of the spring sports season.

The senior pitcher was motivated to end his high school career in style and help the Eagles achieve what they nearly did last year, winning WPIAL and PIAA championships.

With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing the PIAA to cancel the spring sports season, Exler didn’t have the opportunity to suit up for the Eagles one last time or have a chance at the titles that eluded he and his teammates a year ago.

And he hasn’t yet come to terms with that.

“I don’t know if I ever will,” Exler said. “I was motivated and determined to help Serra win a WPIAL and PIAA championship. It’s tough to see something that you have worked for be taken away without any warning.”
