By obits

Thomas S. Yuratovich, of Brownsville, passed away on April 5, 2020, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital at age 47. He leaves behind his oldest daughter, Laikyn Yuratovich of Monessen; his only son, Mark Yuratovich of Uniontown; his youngest daughter, Carissa Yuratovich of Brownsville; and his three beautiful grandchildren, Stephanie, Ariella and Bryson. Tom was born on April 6, 1972, in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Amalia “Midge” Libertini Yuratovich of Brownsville. As a 1990 graduate of Beth-Center High School, he went on to study at Waynesburg University. He worked as a truck driver in his earlier years, but then moved on to a career he loved at Norfolk Southern Railroad as an engineer for 18 years. In his most recent years, he worked as a truck driver for Valley Bulk Inc. Tom married Robyn Yuratovich in August 1995 and they raised their three children together. Mr. Yuratovich was Catholic by faith. Tom would attend church with his family growing up and has always had a vivid sense of God’s guidance. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a dedicated member of the Harley Owners Group. His passion was football, as he played all throughout his school years. He loved Pittsburgh sports and loved to attend their games and events. He enjoyed traveling and camping as well as being a handyman who worked on home projects. Spending time with his family was especially his favorite. Tom was always a kind-hearted person who loved to help anyone in need. Surviving, in addition to his parents, children and grandchildren, are his brother, James Yuratovich of Brownsville, who also played the part as his best friend and they helped support one another throughout their lives; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his girlfriend, Rachel Sargent of Vestaburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stephen and Ann Yuratovich, whom he is buried by; and maternal grandparents, Felice and Theresa Libertini. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of life with Mass and a dinner will be held at a later date.
