Madonna M. Roberts – Fallowfield Township

Madonna M. Roberts, 81, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on April 29, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with her family by her side. Madonna was born on Sept. 30, 1938, in Charleroi, daughter of the late John and Carolyn (Burkey) Moussiaux. A graduate of Charleroi High School in the Class of 1956, she continued her education at Slippery Rock State College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She then attended West Virginia University, where she received her master’s degree. A devout Methodist, her faith was very important in her life. A member of the Nemacolin Country Club, she was an avid golfer. She began her teaching career at Charleroi High School and retired from Elizabeth Forward after 30 wonderful years. Madonna is survived by her loving daughter, Rae Dawn (David) Grillo; grandchildren, Kelsey (Steven) Redhead and Kolton (Kate) Ramsdell; two step-grandchildren, David R. Grillo & Leah Grillo, great-grandchildren, Emma and Ava Redhead; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Madonna is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Roberts; and two brothers, William and John Moussiaux. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC.
