Frank A. Galilei – Monessen

Frank A. Galilei, 67, of Monessen, died on Sunday April 26, 2020, at his home following a battle with cancer. He was born on Oct. 16, 1952, in North Charleroi, the son of Frank J. Galilei of Monessen, who survives, and the late Margaret Trenk Galilei. Frank was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and a 1970 graduate of Monessen High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in criminology from Youngstown State University. Frank was a detective for the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl Desak Galilei; two daughters, Gina and Christa Galilei of Monessen; son, Frank G. (Stephanie) Galilei of Monessen; three grandchildren, Madison, Frank J. and McKenzie Galilei; brother, Gary (Debra) Galilei of Pittsburgh; sister-in-law, Karen Galilei of Bethel Park; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Galilei. Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
