Jennifer Irene Edwards, 40, of Bunola, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 25, 2020, in her home. She was born Aug. 2, 1979, in Monongahela, daughter of Robert and Linda Pauley Barrett of Forward Township. Jennifer was a 1998 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. She was employed by Whistler Construction Inc., currently working under contract at Irvin Works in West Mifflin. Jennifer was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family. She was very creative, loved drawing, writing, especially poetry, and enjoyed camping and boating. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jay M. Edwards, with whom she celebrated 15 years of marriage on Oct. 30, 2019; three children, Cheyenne, Logan and Sierra Edwards, all at home; two sisters, Christine Pringle and husband Matthew of Fallowfield Township and Lynnette Rowe and husband Lawrence of Rostraver Township; father and mother-in-law, Jay and Dona Edwards of West Mifflin; and several nieces and nephews. Jennifer had numerous friends and family members who will not be able to take part in extending their heartfelt condolences to the family due to the COVID-19 crisis. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date. Her family will have a private viewing and funeral and she will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Monongahela. Memorial contributions may be made to the family with the expectations of setting up education accounts for her and Jay’s children. Contributions may be mailed to FRYE FUNERAL HOME, 427 W.
