Remember When?: She’s got their number: Charleroi’s Pieri dominates Brownsville again

If Charleroi’s Lauren Pieri had a say in it, then she would probably want to face Brownsville every day of the week.
Nineteen days ago, Pieri set a Charleroi school record against Brownsville in strikeouts as she fanned 18 batters in a 13-2 romp.
Yesterday, the Falcons got the bat on the ball a little more but not much as Pieri took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before allowing her first and only hit in the game.
Pieri was dominant in the game and she had to be as Charleroi struggled with the bats but still came away with a key 5-1 victory in a Section 3-AA game.
Pieri upped her record to 6-4 on the year as she allowed one run on just that one lone hit while striking out 11 and walking three on 95 pitches.
“That is a typical game for her,” said Charleroi coach Cliff Winnett. “That is what we expect from her.”
