Keith E. Ackman – New Eagle

Keith E. Ackman, 87, of New Eagle, died Sunday, April 19, 2020, in the Southwestern Nursing Center, Pleasant Hills. Born March 9, 1933, in New Eagle, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen Benedict Ackman. After graduating from Monongahela High School in 1951, Keith earned his bachelor degree in business and teaching from Duquesne University. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and then worked for over 36 years as a guidance counselor for Beth Center High School until his retirement. One of the founding members of the Mon-Valley Radio Control Club, he loved building and flying model airplanes. For many years, Keith enjoyed flying his ultra-light plane from the Rostraver Airport and was also a licensed airplane pilot and enjoyed flying his family on trips and vacations over the years. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Norma Holzapfel Ackman; two sons, Edward Ackman of New Eagle and Michael (Shannon) Ackman of Elizabeth. Due to COVID-19, a family funeral was held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, followed by interment in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
