The South Allegheny School District will have a graduation ceremony, high school Principal David McDonald promised in a letter to seniors.
He said graduation is still set for 6:30 p.m. June 5 at the South Allegheny Stadium. Two future dates are available if a ceremony can’t be held then because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Also being considered are July 2 and Aug. 7.
At its meeting this week, the school board approved the purchase of a Scag Turf Tiger II 61-inch mower, bagger and bagger install kit from Steel City Mower for $14,433.01, which was the lowest bid.
The board approved several technology upgrades funded through eRate, a universal school and library program through the FCC that provides funding for internet access and telecommunication services.
