William David Valla – Coal Center

William David Valla, 57, of Coal Center, passed away on April 7, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Bill was born on July 8, 1962, in North Charleroi, the son of the late William and Martha Yuschak Valla. William graduated from Charleroi High school, Class of 1980. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country honorably. Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed boating with his wife Brenda. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sloan Valla; his daughter, Rachael (James) Blankenship of Pittsburgh; a brother, Joseph (Mary) of North Charleroi; grandchildren Madison and Austin Blankenship; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private for the immediate family only. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society in Bill’s name. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrockhogan.com.
