John C. Gill of Pine Township has been named president and CEO of cfsbank, the Charleroi-based organization announced Friday.

“John’s experience with and commitment to the development and delivery of exceptional banking services, with an emphasis on customers and the community, are a perfect fit for cfsbank and its customers,” said interim President Bert Cherry.

Gill comes to cfsbank with more than 40 years of financial services experience primarily in community banks.

He has focused on integrating digital technology into the banking process.

Cherry said Gill is also a community banking leader, having served as Group 1 leader for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and a member of the payments committee and ThinkTECH Accelerator program for the Independent Community Bankers of America.

“I look forward to working with the professionals at cfsbank to improve and expand our products and services for our community,” Gill said, “as well as further improving the bank’s customer experience through digital technology, increasing accessibility to financial tools.”

Gill said those efforts are driven by the bank’s core mission of serving the community.
