Margaret Jean Evans – Monessen

Margaret Jean Evans, 90, of Monessen passed away on March 30, 2020, in Country Manor of Kittaning. She was born in Pittsburgh on June 18, 1929, a daughter of the late James E. and Ann Saliek Boyer. Margaret was a member of the former St. Leonard’s Roman Catholic Church of Monessen, as well as the Ladies Guild and Catholic Daughters of America. She had also been a volunteer with the Auxiliary of Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Evans Sr.; her son, Frank Evans Jr.; a sister, Mary Ellen Zlatovich; and a brother, John G. Boyer. Surviving are her son, Scott J. Evans and wife Mary Beth; as well as grandsons, Mitchell and Justin Evans; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. Burial was held in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
