Joseph L. Grooms – Fallowfield Township, Charleroi

Joseph L. Grooms, 49, of Fallowfield Township, Charleroi, died Wednesday evening, April 1, 2020, at his home. He was born Jan. 7, 1971, in South Bend, Ind., a son of the late Deborah Telgenhoff Grant. A veteran, he served for six years with the U.S. Air Force, serving as a senior airman during the Gulf War. Joe had a love for youth sports and enjoyed coaching his son Masyn in baseball (Mon Valley Vipers), CFD Soccer and wrestling. Joe also loved singing and performing as a Kenny Chesney tribute artist. He is survived by his wife Beth Coyle Grooms, whom he married on Dec. 31, 2019. Also surviving are his children, Britnyleigh Smith (Chris), Zach Grooms and Zoé Grooms, all of Kent, Ohio, Masyn Grooms at home and Cheyenne Grooms of East Liverpool, Ohio; two grandchildren, Lenora Pavich and David Smith; and step-children, Jaidyn and Noah Fronzaglio of Charleroi. At the request of the family, a public memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that contributions be made to help defray the funeral expenses.
