Charles “Chuck” Woss, 63, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, after a one-year battle with several health issues. A son of the late James and Eleanor Marsoli Heffran and Charles Stanley Woss, he was born in North Charleroi on March 1, 1957. Chuck had been employed as a regional sales manager by Liberty Engineered Wire Products for the past six years, but had worked in the steel industry and sales his whole life. Catholic by faith, he had attended Concord United Methodist Church with his family. Chuck had a passion for cars and was an avid golfer, having been a member of a golf league at Victory Hill. He is survived by his wife, Debra Podvia Woss, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage; two children, Ashley Woss and Collin Woss, both at home; a sister and brother in-law, Ilona and Ron Morgan of Belle Vernon; his mother-in-law and father in-law, Harry and Shirley Podvia of Rostraver Township; his sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Pam and Vince Belczyk of Rostraver Township and Tom Byerly of Westerville, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kim Byerly in 2010. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private for the family with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons. Interment will be in West Newton Cemetery. A public memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. If friends wish, memorial donations may be made in Chuck’s name to a Parkinson’s Disease foundation of their choice.
