Iretta A. Lynch – Rostraver Township

Iretta A. Lynch, 96, of Rostraver Township, passed away on March 28, 2020, in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Monessen, on July 8, 1923, daughter of the late Phillip and Bertha Spielmyer Yost. Iretta was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen where she had been president of the United Methodist Women, Pastor/Parish Relations Board. She had served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and had leadership roles in the Brownies. She and her late husband had also volunteered with the Monessen Meals on Wheels program. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Lynch; a brother, Chester; a sister, Bertha Mae; and niece, Betty Jean. Surviving are her son, Dennis and wife Bernadette; daughter, Susan and husband Eugene Beyer; grandchildren, Amanda and Dustin DiRenna, Ryan and Clarissa Lynch and Christopher and Erin Lynch; great-grandchildren, Julianna and Cole DiRenna and Weston Lynch; niece, Rose Marie; and nephew, Russell. A private graveside service was held in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. A memorial service in Iretta’s honor will be held at a later date.
