Shirley M. Jolley, 77, of Fayette City, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2020, at the North Strabane Rehabilitation & Wellness Center. Formerly of Charleroi, Shirley was born on June 20, 1942, the daughter of the late John & Jennie Honchalk Hostetler. She was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1960, and a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Fallowfield and their choir. She enjoyed many years working in the cafeteria at Belle Vernon Area High School. Shirley is survived by her daughter Marla (Ed) Gould of Fallowfield; a brother, John “Buster” (Linda) Hostetler of South Carolina; her nephews, John Fredrick (Mandy) Hostetler and Gregory Hostetler of South Carolina; a great-niece and a great-nephew, Megan and John William; as well as step-grandchildren, Matthew Gould and Eric (Kailey) Gould; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alfred Jolley and his parents, Alfred and Agnes Jolley. A private funeral service and interment will be held for Shirley. The funeral services will be online streamed “live” on the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Facebook page at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made in Shirley’s name to the Dementia Society of America.
