After gaining swift commitments from area teams, the Mon Valley Independent is proud to officially announce the MVI Shootout Classic will return this season.

Ringgold High School will be the site for the event Dec. 11 and 12.

“I’m really excited to be able to see some of the local matchups we haven’t seen in years,” MVI owner Naz Victoria said. “The young talent we have coming back and being able to showcase it, that’s what this tournament is all about.”

The nine boys teams committed to the event along with host Ringgold are Belle Vernon Area, Charleroi, Monessen, Elizabeth Forward, McKeesport, Thomas Jefferson, Serra Catholic, South Allegheny and Beth-Center.

Matchups will be determined at a later date, with five games held each day beginning Friday afternoon into the evening and five more games Saturday afternoon.
