Mary Horvath, 96, of California, Pa., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Dunlevy Manor. She was born in California, Pa., on June 25, 1923, a daughter of William and Michalina Yugal Tonkavitch. Mary was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish and the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church in California. On Jan. 7, 1943, she married Joseph “Buff” Horvath who died on April 18, 2013. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph William Horvath of California, Pa. and Nicholas Dale (Valerie) Horvath of Rocky Point, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mary is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Michael and Joseph Tonkavitch; and a sister, Ann Manos. There will be no public visitation.
