BVA’s Ruokonen set to play at Duquesne

BVA wide receiver and safety Hunter Ruokonen (17) has signed to continue his playing days at Duquense University.

Hunter Ruokonen will soon exchange his green and gold for red and blue.
The Belle Vernon Area senior will move on to continue his academic career and play football at Duquesne University after signing his national letter of intent last month.
Ruokonen announced his commitment on Jan. 28.
“It means so much knowing that sports aren’t over for me yet,” said Ruokonen. “I’m so excited to further my education and sports at Duquesne. With the coaches, the new facilities coming and the environment, it’s the place to be.”
