Toney, Ala., formerly of Mononghela
Edith Jane “Janie” Burnworth-Hatfield, 74, of Toney, Ala., formerly of Mononghela, died March 16, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends, of dementia. She was the daughter of the late Ezra S. and Rebecca M. Seal Burnworth, born on Aug. 3, 1945, in Monongahela Memorial Hospital in New Eagle. She was an active member of Heaven’s Way Baptist Church in Ardmore, Ala., where she loved to sing. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara (Daniel) Rosensteel, Rebecca (William) Baisden and Cindy (Donald) Leach; one son, Ronald E. (Paula) Hatfield Jr.; one brother, Randy Gregg; one sister, Carolyn Burzynski; as well as 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; her beloved dog, Daisy; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ezra L. Burnworth; one nephew, Ezra R. Burnworth; and beloved husband, Ronald E. Hatfield Sr. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Sutersville Primitive Methodist Church, 313 Third Ave., Sutersville, PA 15083. Pastor Matthew Sigler will be presiding.
