Column: Here’s hoping for a quick return to sports

Gov. Wolf’s mandate to close all Pennsylvania schools through March 27 makes it official that all spring sports are postponed.

Hopefully, that’s all that it is, a postponement. A slight delay until we can get our athletes back on the field.

Here at the MVI, we’ve delayed the release of our first annual “First Pitch” baseball and softball insert. As of now, you can expect that April 2. Our photographers and writers have worked hard to find out the most information about all of our local teams. Hopefully it will be in your hands soon!

While the local sports content may be a little lighter, we’ll still be bringing you great local sports coverage.

Over the past few years, we’ve had the opportunity to build great relationships with a number of local athletes, many of whom now play collegiately around the country.
