The Clairton girls basketball team is in rare waters these days.
And third-year head coach Carlton Wade feels why mess with what has been successful?
The Bears (20-4) take on District 6 third-place finisher Blacklick Valley (17-7) in the first round of the PIAA Class A playoffs 3 p.m. today at Greensburg Salem.
Clairton is in the state playoffs for the first time in 16 years and it has been the same time period since the Bears won a section title, which they did this season.
The Bears haven’t enjoyed this kind of success since Kamela Gissendanner was running the show on the court.
