John R. ‘Jack’ Stapleton

John R. “Jack” Stapleton, 73, passed away on March 5, 2020. Jack was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Charleroi, son of the late John W. and Nell Brackett Stapleton. Jack was Catholic by faith and attended Mary, Mother of the Church in Charleroi. Jack was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed shooting guns and fishing. He was a member of the Charleroi Sportsmen Club. Jack and had been the owner and operator of Jack’s Barber Shop in Belle Vernon for many years. Surviving are his daughters, Carrie Morrow and husband Jason, and Amanda Swearer and husband Josh; four grandchildren, Jason Jr. and Evan Morrow, Riley Swearer and Brady McFeely; a great-grandchild, Claudia; brother, Bill and wife Suzanne Stapleton; sister, Kathy Vogel; his companion, Dianne Days; and the mother of his children, Ilona Stack; best friend, “Bege” Desak; and his daughters, whom Jack considered as his own, Jodi and Jamie Desak. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, John “Ryan” Stapleton and his wife, Lynne Hawk. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, with 7:30 p.m. as the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s name may be made to the family.
