Thomas J. Jurik – New Eagle

Thomas J. Jurik, 67, of New Eagle, died Thursday, March 5, 2020, in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1952, in New Eagle, the son of Frances Papak Jurik, who survives and resides in Monongahela and the late Joseph Jurik. Tom was a graduate of Monongahela High School and formerly employed at U.S. Steel Clairton Works. For over 30 years he owned and operated Tom’s Tire in New Eagle. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. Tom loved being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Veronica Jurik of Monongahela and several cousins. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020, with the Rev. Kevin Dominik officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o Monongahela Sr. Center, 102 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063 or to a charity of your choice.
