Having one Leap Day baby is very rare, but a Monongahela native and his wife welcomed an incredible coincidence to their family over the weekend.

Dane Demchak and his wife Lindsay, who live in Brooklyn, N.Y., had a daughter, Scout, on Saturday. She joins her brother Omri, who was born Feb. 29, 2016.

The family became a viral sensation over the weekend, gaining attention from several national news sources. While they are grateful for it, Dane and Lindsay got a bit overwhelmed by all the coverage.

“We were just caught up with all the buzz and being overjoyed with our daughter being born,” Dane said. “Now that the big hoopla of ABC, CBS and all of them blowing up my phone is over, we have had time to process the fact that — wow, this really happened.

“I can’t believe this really happened.”
