Mary B. Simonik, 89, of Solon, Ohio, formerly of Donora, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Light of Hearts Villa in Cleveland, Ohio. Born in Donora on Dec. 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kuruc Bozik. She was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary and a former member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, Branch 88. Mary graduated from Donora High School in 1948. After high school, she worked for Zeffiro Transfer and Storage in Donora. Later, she worked as a bookkeeper for Weiss Packing Company until she retired in 1987 after 25 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Simonik, on April 28, 2014; and one brother, Joseph Bozik. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Denise) Simonik of Solon, Ohio, and Ken (Susan) Simonik of Freehold, N.J.; three grandchildren, TJ (Jessie) Simonik of Charlotte, N.C., Elizabeth (John) Mulski of Boston, Mass., and Cathy (Chris) Muller of Farmingdale, N.J..; also three great-grandchildren, Courtney Muller, Cole Muller and Olivia Simonik. Private family visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2020, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Donora Campus of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L.
