The Cal U women’s basketball team hit 11 3-pointers and finished with four players in double figures as it cruised into the PSAC quarterfinals Monday night.
Shauna Harrison hit five of those 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points and DJ Hahn scored 11 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Vulcans to a 67-53 win over No. 5 seed Pitt-Johnstown at the Convocation Center.
With the win, the Vulcans (21-8) will travel to the West’s No. 1 seed IUP on Wednesday.
“It’s always hard to beat a team three times, that’s why I hate the way our tournament is set up,” Cal U coach Jess Strom said. “They know us very well, we know them very well. They know what we want to do and we know what they wanted to do.”
