Michael R. Seamon Jr., 83, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at Cambridge Hillside Senior Living in North Charleroi. He was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Charleroi, the son of Michael R. and Julia Mayernick Seamon Sr. Michael was a graduate of Charleroi High School in 1954 and the Penn Technical Institute of Pittsburgh in 1971. He was employed by the telephone company in Washington, D.C., and then transferred to Bell of Pennsylvania working in the central office in Charleroi as a technician until his retirement. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Army XXI Corps. He attended Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monongahela. He enjoyed hunting, going to Steelers and Penguins games, the Pittsburgh Symphony and Civic Light Opera events. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Skirpan Seamon, with whom he celebrated 45 years of marriage on May 11, 2019; and two sisters, Marion Naeger of Florida and Evelyn Petrich of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Seamon. Funeral services were private with the Rev. Matthew Stabe officiating and interment was in Monongahela Cemetery.
