Ronald D. Hostovich, 56, of Charleroi went to be with the Lord on Feb. 26, 2020, after battling liver disease. He was born June 28, 1963, to the late Ronald M. Hostovich and Ann M. Thomas Hostovich in Canonsburg. Ron was a 1981 graduate of Ringgold High School and joined the Navy immediately after graduating. He spent 12 years serving aboard two aircraft carriers, the USS Independence and the USS Constellation. Ron continued his life of service with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Corrections, for 30 years. Ron was greatly involved in youth and high school soccer in the area and as an officer for Washington County youth soccer as referee and as a coach. He belonged to the Charleroi Cougar Booster Club, and Tri-County F&AM Lodge No. 252. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with his family. Surviving him are his loving wife, Shannon Santini Hostovich; sons, Dane Hostovich and Zach Hostovich (Jasmine); a brother, Dean Hostovich (Kathy); and a grandson, Wyatt; along with several nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 2, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, by Tri-County F&AM Lodge No. 252. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the funeral home with Pastor Charles Cochran officiating. In lieu of flowers, Ron has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
