Gloria M. Sala, 91, of Monessen, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, in Jefferson Hills Manor. She was born on July 30, 1928, in Monongahela, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela DeLuca Mazzola. Gloria grew up in Monongahela and was a 1946 graduate of Monongahela High School. She worked as an insurance agent for Chattaway Agency in Monongahela for 30 years. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, where she served as an Eucharistic minister and as Sacristan. She was also a member of Epiphany Ladies, the Good Time Singers and the “Showboat” production. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aldo “Doc” Sala; two brothers, Alexander and Guido Mazzola; and a half-sister and half-brother Theresa and Eldo Baldesari. Gloria was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 2, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing on Tuesday, March 2, in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Epiphany Ladies will conduct a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
