Monessen
Dorothy L. Pascoe Gido, 95, of Monessen, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born on Aug. 9, 1924, in Mathers, the daughter of the late Philip Pascoe and Mary Lilley Pascoe Walos. During World War II, Dorothy worked as a welder in Pittsburgh. Dorothy loved gardening, cooking, and crocheting. She played the piano and sang with her late husband, Thomas Gido, at church. She was a member of Assembly of God. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Arthur, Philip and Harold Pascoe. She is survived by a son, Daniel Haradin of Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; three daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Swalin of Monessen, Rebecca Pritts of Monessen and Mariellen (William) Rose of Charleroi; 10 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held at noon Tuesday, March 3, in the funeral home with Pastor John Custer officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
