Few show for Carroll Township chicken/bees public hearing

A handful of Carroll Township residents turned up for Wednesday’s public hearing about keeping chickens and bees in residential areas.
Of those five people, only three signed up to speak, only two actually did and the hearing lasted about 30 minutes.
Township Solicitor Herman Bigi said the board of supervisors is amending an existing ordinance to allow for keeping chickens and bees in R-1 and R-2 areas.
The amendment will likely be passed at the supervisors’ April 7 meeting, Bigi said.
