Students in the Charleroi Area School District are being disciplined after creating a “fight club” page on social media.
Superintendent Dr. Ed Zelich said two parents called him Wednesday to tell them they discovered a page on Instagram with the Cougars’ logo that had several videos of students fighting on and off school property.
“Charleroi.fight.page” has since been removed from the social media platform.
The students responsible for creating the page were identified Thursday and will face disciplinary measures.
Since learning about the page, Zelich said the school’s administrative team and resource police officers have been working to identify those involved and take the appropriate actions.
