Donna DiCenzo Adamczyk, 87, formerly of Monessen and Rehoboth Beach, Del., died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, in Overlook Green, Pittsburgh. She was born on Sept. 15, 1932, in Monongahela, the daughter of the late August and Amelia Pellegrini DiCenzo and a granddaughter of John and Tecla Tuscioli Pellegrini and Frank and Lucia DeCenzo. Donna was a former member of Sea Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach, Del., and currently a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen. She was a member of the Community of Mary, a Discalced Carmelite Secular. For most of her life, she was devoted to church, family, country and the Class of 1950. Her only wish was to have a strong and active love for our Lord. She served as co-sacristan at Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen for six years. She was also a member of the Epiphany Ladies, Court 776 Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Catholic BPW and Legion of Mary. Survivors included her two daughters, Kathy Togni of Pittsburgh, and Amelia Knarr of Lewis, Del.; a brother, Francis DiCenzo of San Bernadino, Calif.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hadley Porter, Hunter John Knarr, Katherine Elizabeth Knarr and Konnor William Fredic Knarr; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard J. Adamczyk; a son, Richard John Adamczyk II; a sister Norma DeRentis; and a brother, Archie Frank DiCenzo. Friends will be received from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by a Blessing at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Church with the Rev. Michael Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery, Monessen. In lieu of flowers, Donna’s request was for you to offer a Mass in her memory.
