Lloyd W. Shepler – Monessen

Lloyd W. Shepler, 90, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, in his home surrounded by his family. A son of the late Harold Walter Shepler and Alice Virginia Smallwood, he was born in North Charleroi on Sept. 1, 1929. A lifelong resident of Monessen, Lloyd was a member of the California Boat Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, actively serving from 1946 to 1951 and was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport plant. He loved boating, gardening and baking. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn J. Fizer Shepler; two daughters and a son-in-law, Alison and Michael Tarquinio of Harborcreek, Pa., and Sari Shepler of San Diego, Calif; a son and daughter in-law, Mick and Susan Shepler of Monessen; four grandchildren, Vincent Tarquinio, Melissa Tarquinio, Megan (née Shepler) and Chris Vaccaro and Lindsay Beregi; and two brothers, Jack Shepler and Bill Shepler. He was preceded in death by a grandson in-law, Sandor Beregi. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300.
