Celebrate the birthdays of Washington, Lincoln today

West Jefferson Hills Historical Society will celebrate “Happy Birthday, George & Abe!” at 1 p.m. today. 

The society will commemorate the birthdays of presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln this afternoon inside the community rooms of the Jefferson Hills Municipal Building.

Society members and area residents are invited to enjoy an afternoon of birthday party fun, food and festivities. 

Participants will learn new and little-known facts about Washington and Lincoln in a PowerPoint presentation filled with art and artifacts, from various museums and the Library of Congress, which tell the stories of two of the country’s most well-known men.
