William H. Gillingham Jr. – Speers

William H. Gillingham Jr., 92, of Speers Hill, passed away on Feb. 15, 2020, at Jefferson Hills Manor. Bill was born on Aug. 1, 1927, in Jefferson Township, son of the late William H. Sr. and Sarah Ackinclose Gillingham. Following his graduation from Charleroi High School, Bill served his country honorably in the United States Navy in the South Pacific and Japan during World War II. Bill would go into business for himself and was the owner operator of Gillingham Amoco Station in Charleroi for many years. William is survived by his son, William H. Gillingham III of Speers; grandchild, Chastity Ednar; four great-grandchildren; and niece, Kris Kelly of Masontown. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Gillingham; and sister, Lois Gillingham.
