Stephanie Thurston (née Taylor) was born in February 1957 and passed away in the early morning of Jan. 10, 2020, in Washington, Pa. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents Ann and Leroy Taylor, as well as her husband Tony Thurston. Stephanie lived a life of adventure, serving in the U.S. Army and residing in Texas and Illinois before returning to her native Pennsylvania. Stephanie valued education and instilled a sense of intellectual curiosity in her children. She loved her family fully and unconditionally. Stephanie is survived by her children, Bibbi (Nicole) Taylor of Oregon, Maurice Taylor of Pennsylvania and Jermaine Thurston of Pennsylvania. In addition to her children, Stephanie is survived by her siblings, Leroy Taylor, Ardelia Merriweather, Jerome Taylor, Jeanette Walker, Mark Taylor, Benita Sloan, Anthony Taylor and Sharon Lawson. Also, Stephanie is survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom she adored. The family will host a celebration of life gathering from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 22, 2020, at Mon Valley Youth and Teen Center located at 160 Thompson Ave., Donora, dinner served at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends are encouraged to join the family for this celebration.
