TJ enters first round with momentum

The Thomas Jefferson girls basketball team enters the WPIAL Class 5A playoffs riding a five-game winning streak.
Sound familiar?
The Jaguars took the same winning streak into the playoffs last season before rolling into the WPIAL championship game for the first time in nearly four decades and the PIAA semifinals for the first time in program history.
Can history repeat itself? TJ sure hopes so.
“You don’t want to plateau early in the season and I think right now we’re peaking at the right time,” TJ head coach Lisa Fairman said. “We’ve got a lot of kids playing really well and that’s what we need, our entire team to continue doing what they’ve been doing the last five games.”
