A Uniontown area woman was hurt after her vehicle went off the road and into the woods in Rostraver Township early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Rostraver police said the 27-year-old woman was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The extent of her injuries wasn’t immediately known.

The crash was reported about 6:15 a.m. along Route 51 in the area of Mt. Pleasant Road.

According to officials from Rostraver Central Volunteer Fire Department, firefighters used a vehicle stabilization kit to secure the vehicle, then cut the patient from the vehicle using the HURST Jaws of Life. Rostraver Central was assisted at the scene by the Smithton Volunteer Fire Department.
