Leonard M. Domyancic – Monessen

Leonard M. Domyancic, 93, of Monessen, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 16, 1926, in Monessen, the son of the late John and Helen Bilicic Domyancic. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a 1944 graduate of Monessen High School. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Monessen Plant, where he worked as a crane operator. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, the Croatian Club, and Post 28 American Legion. He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy as a B-24 tail gunner. He is survived by his son, John (Jean) Domyancic of Naperville, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Linda Domyancic of Monroeville; four grandchildren, Matthew (Toni) Domyancic, Ryan (Natalie) Domyancic, Ben Domyancic and Quinn Domyancic; a great-grandson, Michael Domyancic; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene L. (Rendos) Domyancic; a son, Leonard J. Domyancic; and a sister, Amelia Belicheck. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen.
