Norma Jean Jobes, 85, of North Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. A daughter of the late Charles and Lois Scott Jobes, she was born in North Charleroi on Aug. 26, 1934. Norma graduated from Bellmar High School in 1952 and served in the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon, had a huge love of dogs and horses, enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with her wonderful friends. Norma belonged to the Naomi Outreach, which is a group of single women who help disabled veterans and nursing home residents. She retired from Bell Atlantic after 34 years. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Trombino; two grandsons, Charles Leonardis and Vincent Leonardis; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Emma Leonardis, all of Arcadia, Calif.; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth “Carol” and Donald Morgan of Rostraver; two nephews, Mark (Catherine) and Jonathon (Dana) Morgan; a great-niece, Caitlyn Morgan; a great-nephew, Aaron (Jessica) Morgan; two great-great-nieces, Harper and Quinn Morgan; two lifelong friends, Dolores Holder Balogh and Novella (Poochie) Steer Crank, and a dear friend and caregiver, Deanne Nogy. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her grandmother Elizabeth McClain Scott, who raised her since she was 10 years old when her mother passed away. At Norma’s request there was no public visitation. Burial was in Rehoboth Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church, 320 Main St., Belle Vernon at a later date.
