Love is in the air throughout the Mon Valley.
With only one day left until Valentine’s Day, area business owners are gearing up to help sweeten plans for that special someone this weekend.
Whether you plan on showing your affection through a scrumptious, romantic dinner, a vibrant bouquet of flowers decadent chocolate, or something more sentimental, local establishments throughout the Valley have you covered.
According to Business Insider, 51% percent of Americans celebrate Valentine’s Day and people spend big bucks to pull out all the stops for the sweet day.
Research conducted by the National Retail Federation states that Americans spent more than $20.7 billion on Valentine’s Day last year.
Forecasters predict similar spending in 2020, which could pose well for local small business owners.
Each year, certain gifts stand out on top, like jewelry, flowers, chocolates and cards.
