South Allegheny’s Omar Faulkner is fouled by Yough’s Gamal Marballie during Wednesday’s game. Faulkner had 12 points, eight rebounds and eight blocks in the Gladiators’ victory.

The South Allegheny boys basketball team went up in class for a non-section game against Class 4A Yough Wednesday.
That didn’t matter much, though, as the result on the scoreboard was the same as nearly every other game the Gladiators have played this season.
Yough missed their first 13 shots, turned the ball over seven times in the first quarter and were held off the scoreboard for the first 10 and a half minutes.
That resulted in South Allegheny jumping out to a 16-0 lead and cruising to a 57-31 victory in Glassport.
