Blanche J. Losey – Rostraver Township

Blanche J. Losey, 88, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born April 16, 1931 in Monongahela, the daughter of Edward and Marjorie Wilson Mellor. Blanche was lovingly devoted to her family and her home. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to casinos. She is survived by her husband, Ralph J. Losey Sr. with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage on Jan. 17, 2020; two sons, Ralph J.  Losey, Jr. and his wife Denise of Sandestin, Fla., Mark Losey and his wife Sue of Greensburg; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, J. Raymond, Edward, Ronald, William “Speed” and James Mellor; five sisters, Marjorie Mellor, Lillian Sleighter, Olive Galloway, Sarah “Sally” Pacini and Martha Mucci. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
