Donna Jean Hamilton, 89, of Fayette City, passed away peacefully on Feb. 1, 2020. She was born Feb. 26, 1930, to the late Alice Todd and Gilbert Hamilton and is predeceased by her sisters, Sarah Hamilton Marshall and Agnes Hamilton Wozniak. Known fondly as “Aunty Jean” by her large, extended family, Donna Jean proudly counted 10 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and great-nephews and 20 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Donna Jean worked most of her adult life at Fee’s Pharmacy in downtown Fayette City and babysat for various families, including her own, throughout the years. She loved duckpin bowling in her younger years and was an avid Pirates fan. She loved nothing more than dressing up in all of her team gear and going to see a game. She also loved reading and completing word searches, spending time with her best friends, Jan Booth, Jean Livingstone, Ethel May Maxen and Marsha Batovsky, going to church every Sunday, and to lunch and other outings. Donna Jean was laid to rest next to her parents at Little Redstone Cemetery in Fayette City on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. Funeral arrangements were handled by ELEY/MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., Fayette City, Pa.
