Mary Kahr, 88, formerly of Brownsville, passed away on Jan. 27, 2020. Born on March 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Kahr. She graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing in 1952 and worked as an R.N. until her disability in 1972. She has been a resident of the Waynesburg Health Care Center since 2011. She is survived by a brother, Joseph C. Kahr; nieces, Janet Chico, Susan Chobany and Carin Gray; and nephews, Mike Chico, Dan Chico, Tim Chico, Robert Kahr and Barry Kahr. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Chico; and a niece, Kathy Chico. Friends will be received from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi campus, with interment following in St Luke’s Cemetery, Bentleyville.
