Rose Ann Petitto Houdyschell, 78, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at Mon Valley Hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1942, in North Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Costanza Petitto. Rose Ann was a graduate of Belmar High School and California University. She served on the board of Cedar Hills condominiums and was active in many activities.  Her greatest joy was always her children and later her grandchildren as she would do anything to enjoy the precious moments they could share.  She loved holidays and cooking Pizza for all that wanted to preserve the memories of the past and enjoy life in the moment as “family”.  She will be greatly missed by many friends of all ages for her strength in all aspects of life.  Her giving soul was passed on to all that knew her and will be rightfully nourished in her new life. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jon Eric and Fetnah Houdyschell of Richmond, Va., Jeffrey and Christine Houdyschell of Noblesville, Ind.; daughter, Lisa Kutcy and Mark Lighthall of Belle Vernon; sister, Mary Theresa Lux of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren Ashley Houdyschell, Amber Kutcy, Alyson Houdyschell, Jenna Kutcy, Jake Houdyschell, Kasey Houdyschell; niece, Cathy Philips; nephew, James Michael Lux; and three great-nieces and great-nephews.
