With the rambunctious Jan. 6 meeting in the rear-view mirror, Monessen council has finally reached an agreement –– everyone wants things to go a little smoother at tonight’s meeting.

However, one member says he won’t back down from getting the answers he believes he deserves.

Council members Don Gregor and Lois Thomas said they hope clashes will be set aside in order to run an effective business meeting. Councilman Anthony Orzechowski said he plans to confront council, the mayor, the city administrator and the solicitor over a slew of unanswered questions.

“I really hope it goes smoother than the last time,” Gregor said. “We really do need to try to work together and we have to actually sit and listen to the people.”
