Bonnie Hotz, 73, of Speers Hill, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at her home. She was born Jan. 14, 1947 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Carl Clark Jr., and Pearl Harrold Clark. Bonnie graduated from West Newton High School in the class of 1966. She was a very active member of the Speers United Methodist Church, the women’s society of the church and was active in the memorial fund of the church. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Hotz; her two daughters, Tracey Sapko and husband Dave, and Holly Toth and husband Scott, both of Speers Hill; her two sons, Thomas C. Hotz and wife Mindy of Banning, son Bryan and wife Gail Hotz of Donora; eight grandchildren, Haley Sapko and Noah Sapko, Paige Hotz, Sydney Toth, Samantha Hotz, Breanna Hotz, Zoie Hotz and Gabriel Hotz. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Patty Caruso and brother-in-law, Gary Caruso; one niece, Natalie Sanford; and nephew, P.J. Caruso; and a dear cousin, Terry West and husband Art. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Speers United Methodist Church, 810 Jane Street, Speers. Family and friends attending the funeral services are being asked to go directly to the Church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Speers United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
